It directly communicates with your car's ECU (Engine Control Unit) via the data loop of CAN. It is completely silent as it does not use radio frequencies or key fobs. It isn't detected by diagnostics or any other hacking device. It also prevents the addition of the key to a new one or replacing the ECU to bypass the system since only the correct PIN code will allow the engine to start.
