The mop it comes with is as powerful as its vacuums, and it sports a an appealing design than the Roomba. While it does not have an remote control, the T10's smart capabilities make up for this omission. With the app, you can easily start and stop a cleansing cycle. You can also schedule it and alter device settings.

4. Shark ION XL

The ION XL, Shark's most advanced self-emptying robotic vacuum is a fantastic option for those looking to keep their homes clean without having to lift a finger. It also offers exemplary performance. The vacuum comes with an enormous bin that can store one month's worth of dirt and the base can be programmed to automatically empty it at the end of each cleaning run for storage that lasts longer. The ION XL robot vacuum is one of the most versatile available. It can clean carpets and hard floors. It can be controlled with an app or voice commands, and you can create a map of your home to clean each room at the click of a button. The robot is also able to maneuver around furniture and can move through carpeted and stairs easily.

I tested the IONXL in a family and kitchen room with hardwood flooring, area rugs, and a standard test for debris. It was excellent at cleaning up debris and pet hair from the floors, and also took care of some of the more stubborn crumbs that accumulated on carpets. It was also excellent at moving around my bar stool and didn't hit them like the iRobot J7+ did during this test. The only issue is that the ION XL is unable to detect toys, cords or shoes that are in its path, which means you'll have to clean your home prior to running this robot vacuum self emptying vacuum to stay clear of these items.

The ION XL isn't as smart as the iRobot j7+, but it is an excellent alternative if you don't want to spend more than $500 on an automated cleaner. It's superior to the less expensive RoboVac 11S in most ways it is also easier to maintain and requiring lower recurring costs. It is also better at cleaning floors with no carpet and picking up pet fur, but not as effective on low- or carpets with higher pile.

It's not as well-built but it's still a solid option. The ION XL is a powerful machine with a huge capacity bin. It is controlled by an app or a voice command and is easy to maintain. It's also a reasonable price.
