The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping robot vacuum cleaner (read the full info here) experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of one button. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and wet Dry robot vacuum doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's not the best robot vacuum that mops time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or cleaner three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a set route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are nice to have but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.

Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
