Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's an update for CS:GO that will bring the game onto the Source 2 engine and make some major visual changes.

It also brings sub-tick server updates and smoke grenades that respond to. It has got a lot of armchair gamers going crazy but it looks like an enormous improvement for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New has a massive update that will alter the way smokes work in the game. These changes, dubbed responsive smokes, are an important game changer. Smokes will expand to fill in areas and move around the map to move around objects. They will also react to the lighting in the games, making them look more realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes will be capable of interfacing with events in the game and will offer new tactical possibilities. Bullets, for example, will cause smoke to be pushed to temporarily clear the sightlines. Hex grenade blasts can also disperse smoke obstruction.

The biggest change to smokes is that they will become a more active part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were a fixed-shaped object with a limited scope of movement and blocking. The new smokes will occupy the space where they are located and hinder a player's vision when they are there. This is a major improvement that will increase the speed of play and give both teams the same view.

Smokes can react to the light, weapons, and surroundings of the world. This makes the smoke appear more real and allow players to utilize it in various ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is particularly useful in the chaotic matches that will take place on every map.

Smokes will also no longer be one-way which was a major issue in CSGO and allowed players to view their opponents' positions from behind the smoke. Twistzz, a popular CS:GO pro, says that the new system is a major improvement for players in competitive cs2 case and will make it more fair for [empty] both teams.

Other minor improvements include adjusting the position of smoke particles to prevent seeing through edges and changing the smoke overlay visuals to reflect their camera's position. Finally, the expiration of smokes was updated to be more in line with the visuals of how they fade onto the screen.

Loadouts

Players of CSGO can now alter their weapon choices prior to the start of each match. The new loadout system lets players to choose weapons that match their playstyles and team strategies. The new system adds depth to the game as players must balance firepower and utility.

In addition to the brand new loadouts, the CS: GO update includes a number of other enhancements and changes. The buy menu was completely redesigned. The old buy wheel has been replaced with an adjustable grid that displays all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid is filled with five pistols, as well as five "mid-tier weapons" such a submachine guns, shotguns, and rifles.

The new system is simple to use and gives players greater control over their weapon choices. They can pick the weapon that best fits their playstyle, team strategy and play around with different combinations. They can also compare their gear against other players to see how they stack up.

While many players are pleased with the added flexibility, others have criticized it for deviating from the core essence of Counter-Strike. They have also raised concerns about how it could affect the specific loadouts for maps and skins of agents dependent on visibility.

Despite these concerns, it is important to keep in mind that the new loadout system is still in its infancy, and will go through more thorough testing in the coming months. Some of these issues could be addressed in future updates. It is important to stay updated for more details.

In addition to the brand new CS: GO features, the new update also includes Workshop Tools, which can be enabled in the game's settings menu. They enable community contributors to design weapons' finishes, stickers and maps. The update will also live the players who are in violation of VAC rules during matches.

The latest CS: GO update is scheduled to release later this summer. Players can now look over the complete list of features and upgrades by visiting the official CS: GO site.

Sub-Tick Updates

The world of Counter-Strike is constantly updated by the server in discrete intervals of time called ticks. The tiniest delay between a tick's time and the mouse click of a player can affect the accuracy of a shot, and Valve is working to make sure that CS: GO is fluid and responsive. A new video highlights the most significant improvements to the game, referred to as sub tick updates.

Instead of a 64-tick-update every millisecond, CS:GO now uses sub-ticks, or as Valve calls it, "micro ticks", to communicate with servers. The client will take note of each of these tiny increments and transmit them to the server. The server will transmit the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know exactly moment that you shot your shot or jumped, peeked or made other inputs.

The video doesn't go over everything. However, it does explain that each piece of data sent by the client has a timestamp and that the server will collect all data in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to the video, a CS: GO server will now be able to send more than twice the data as a 64-tick servers.

This means that even if the game's tick speed increases to 128 Hz, it'll be able to handle your commands instantly and continuously. The micro-tick updates also reduce input lag by making sure that the server reacts to your commands without glitches or delays.

Valve's technical improvements to the game are just the beginning. Valve is using dynamic smoke and particles to improve the way smoke interacts with its environment. It's also updating all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures and models. All CS weapons and cosmetics will also be updated with Source 2 tools and features.

Maps

The upcoming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game along with some classics which are getting facelifts. These updates are currently being tested as part of a limited test beta. The first set of updates includes an upgrade and touchstone map which will not undergo significant changes to gameplay, while other maps have been rebuilt or overhauled with the help of the new Source 2 Tools.

Overpass is one of these maps that has been modified to take advantage the new engine's unified lighting system. The map's dark underground has been flooded with daylight, making it more spacious and less overcrowded. Smoke grenades are now expanding dynamically in order to fill spaces, and interact with light.

Another map that has been revamped is Italy and has undergone major changes to texture lighting, structure and texture. The new version is also more balanced than its predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. In the future fans can expect to see classics like Aztec and Militia redesigned.

These maps will not be added to the map pool for competitive play, even though they are still playable. Train is an exception, as it has been removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet confirmed whether the other maps that were taken will be added back to the pool.

Among the more controversial updates is one designed by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been a vocal critic of Russia's actions in Ukraine, and the map is based from the war-torn city of Donetsk. The map is dubbed de_voyna and Gloves Cases includes a number references to the conflict.

The developer will release a set Source 2 Tools for map makers in the near future. This will include features such as improved lighting and character read as well as a physically based rendering system that produces realistic textures, materials, and reflections. It will also make it easier to implement real-world objects like doors and windows. The update will be released in the summer of this year.
