Slot missions are a great opportunity to earn equipment weapons, gear and other items. However, they can be difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature available in short-term missions that allow players to discover different starting locations as well as smuggled items and gear slots ahead of their entry into the map. These options for planning expand as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This lets players prepare the perfect task for each challenge.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will find their gear slots rapidly become full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are Full" message, which blocks Max from selecting new equipment until old items are removed or space is found. The solution is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenging missions. However, since many of these challenges are scattered throughout the globe and are easily missed it could take a long time to acquire the most inventory slots available in-game.

Five Gear real casino slots can be filled with up to five different types of gear. These must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In can begin. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as the grouping of Grenades) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to keep items that aren't suitable in your weapon or gear slot, and retrieve them later.

These pick-ups can be useful when your task requires you to pass through a frisk, or if you carry a weapon with you that could cause suspicion. However, you can only hide one item per game at an agency pickup location.

This DLC adds new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency. To begin these missions simply talk to the receptionist at the agency and purchase armor and snacks. Then, go to the stated mission marker and spot a group at the time of arrival.
