Lightest Double Stroller

hauck-shopper-neo-2-pushchair-grey-lightWhen looking for a lightweight double-stroller, its folded size and weight are important factors to consider. Picking one that is easy to handle and compact when not when not in use makes it much easier to place into the trunk of your car, and to maneuver through airport security and other foreign streets.

hauck-runner-black-neon-robust-all-terraThe best lightweight strollers feature a lightweight, easy fold and self-standing mechanism that helps reduce the strain on parents' bodies. A few also come with a broad range of seating configurations and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus

Designed for families that are on moving. Compact and light weight, it has an easy one-handed fold. The all-terrain wheels and front suspension and the multi-position reclining seat, can be used for children up to 50 pounds. Trays for both children and parents with a large storage basket as well as 3-tier extended canopy with the ability to peek through the window for maximum sun protection.

The Cloud received one of the lowest scores in our quality tests due to the fact that it has a flimsy seat, made of hard plastic, and a style that is dated. It's also costly compared to other strollers that are lighter, so it's not the best choice in the event you're looking for a low-cost option.

Although it's not the lightest double stroller, it comes with enough features that are worth considering. Its swiveling wheels make easy to maneuver it on flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs without much effort. The Cloud's low handle is a disadvantage but it's at knee height, and not adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push it with your legs suspended in the air, and it doesn't help that it's not padded.

During our testing, we discovered that the Cloud was simple to set up and open. To close it, it's a bit more difficult. You have to slide the slider before you press the large white button. This can be quite a hassle especially if you're juggling kids while doing it.

The Cloud comes with a tiny but deep storage basket. It can fit an enormous diaper bag. The basket is a bit narrow, and you may need to leave something in there to reach the back. The Cloud includes a child and parent tray with two cup holders each, but they're both too narrow to hold larger cups or bottles.

Kolcraft is a Kolcraft brand has been in existence since 1946, and is a third-generation, family-owned company. The first products they made were diapers and crib pads however, they now make a wide range of baby items including highchairs as well as infant car seats, strollers and toys. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is an extremely lightweight, minimalist double stroller that's great to travel with. It's super light at just 18 lbs (lighter than many single to double pushchair strollers!) and folds flat for easy transport and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats as well as large SPF 50 sunvisors that have a peekaboo window. The visors can be adjusted to fit kids of various heights. It also has one-step linked parking brake that is Disney-sized approved.

The swivel wheel feature of Jeep is also great for navigating over bumps and uneven terrain. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats, so your little ones should be at least six months old and have solid neck control to ride in the front seat. The stroller has three panels of sun canopy, and each seat comes with a cupholder and snack tray.

Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is a different incredibly light stroller that can be used side by side. It's heavier than Kolcraft Cloud Plus, at 23 lbs. However, it's smaller and thinner (26.5 inches wide!) and is packed with elegant features that make it ideal for travel. It is easy to fold and is very mobile. It is easily able to fit in overhead compartments as well as trunks of airplanes.

The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, just like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's quite similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, but it has some key distinctions. It's a bit more expensive, but has a better sun canopy and more maneuverability. It comes with a handy strap for carrying and can hold children who weigh up to 44 pounds in one seat.

Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+

If you're looking for a stroller that's lightweight but also loaded with features you'll find it in the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It's not just lightweight, weighing just 13 pounds but also has plenty of storage, including child and parent cupholders and a sippy-cup bag for the child and a parent's storage pouch and so on. It can also be used with a child's car seat and features a brake that is flip-flop friendly. It's designed to evolve with your kids from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller by simply attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children 6 months of age and up.

The stroller is swivel-wheel only and has no locking capabilities which means it won't be the best choice for rocky or steep terrain. It maneuvers well on sidewalks that are paved and other smooth surfaces, though it's a great choice for most families.

This stroller is one of the lightest double strollers that has large features in a sleek, compact design. It folds easily by one hand and Pushchairsandprams then stored in the trunk or garage. It can be used as a travel stoller, and is compatible with no additional adapters to most car seats.

Contrary to the majority of lightweight strollers unlike other strollers that are lightweight, the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ has two separate seats and can hold up to 50 lbs per seat (100 pounds total). The seats come with a recline that can be adjusted in multiple positions, separate leg rests, and three-panel canopies with flip-out sun visors and windows that peek out.

The seats are padded for your infant's comfort. They have a 5-point padded safety harness that can be adjusted to three height positions. Each seat comes with a built-in infant cushion, which is great for newborns. The cup holders for parent and child, the cell phone holders and the big storage basket will be adored by parents. The stroller is also available with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.

Joovy Kooper X2

The Kooper X2 is an excellent option for parents looking for a lightweight double stroller that can accommodate two children. The sling-style seats are comfy and provide the same amount of headroom, which allows kids to sit together. In contrast to other strollers that are side-by-side that are available, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat that's ideal for napping. Its recline feature is simple to use, however it doesn't really go flat. Taller children may have a leg hanging when in the reclined position. It also has a large canopy that we found to be more effective at blocking out the sun than other strollers in our review of the best double strollers.

The stroller is light enough to easily maneuver through door frames, which was a major issue for us with other models we tried. It folds easily and the handlebars are close to the ground. Its only flaw is its limited storage space, which can feel tight when stuffed with kids' toys.

Joovy is a family-owned company that designs unique functional, durable and high-quality baby products. Their product line includes innovative baby bottles such as the Joovy Zoom X2 Double stroller and a unique raincover that fits a wide range of popular strollers. The company's products are affordable priced, and they usually have fun designs that appeal to kids.

In our tests on double strollers, we look at various factors to determine how simple an item is to use, including the ease of use to fold and set up and adjust the safety harness and close and open the brakes, raise and carry the stroller as if placing it in a trunk of a car, and then install and remove the infant car seat (if necessary). We also evaluated the durability and strength of each product, and whether it comes with a tray for parents that can be used for both child tray.

The Joovy Kooper X2 earned the top rating for its ease of use in our latest update of the top double strollers guide, as well as one of the top scores in our Strollers test program overall. Its user-friendly design features one-hand recline that is tilt-free with a huge canopy that rotates to the side for shade, a ventilation mesh you can see through when it's tilted, individual kid trays with built-in cupholders, zipper parent pockets and a large storage basket.
