Who is Hades to Zeus?

Zeus wanted to reunite with his brother. He also liked his sister's husband Zagreus and wanted them to get back together.

Hades is the underworld's king and wears a cloak that makes him invisible. He is tough and cruel but not as erratic as Zeus.

Persephone

Demeter was devastated when Hades took away Persephone. She spent a lot of her time searching for Persephone that she neglected her duties as goddess of vegetation. This caused the plants to die. When Zeus discovered the issue, he demanded that Hades release her. Hades was hesitant, but He was reminded that he swear an oath to his brother Helios and had no choice but to fulfill the contract. In this way Hades let her go.

As Queen of the Underworld, Persephone has the power to bring spring to the mortal realm, and also to create life in Tartarus, where nothing is allowed to exist. She also has the ability to raise her height to titanic dimensions. This is usually observed when she is angry.

Persephone appears in Greek classical art as a woman in a robe and carrying a grain sheaf. She is the embodiment of spring and also the goddess of the vegetation, particularly grains. Her cycle of return to the surface and her sojourn in the Underworld each year represent the cycle of harvest, growth, and death.

The Orphic Hymns mention that Zeus Melinoe, Zeus' twin brother, was the son of Demeter and Pluton. This could refer to the Orphics' belief that Hades and Pluton were the same gods. As a solitary god, Melinoe is not as well-known as her sister. He is the goddess of fertility and lust. He is often portrayed as a man sporting a beard and wearing a helmet. He is often seen seated or standing with the harp. Similar to his brother Zeus He has the power to grant desires. However unlike Zeus, he can revoke this power.

Melinoe

Hades His name, which translates to "the unseeing one" is the god of the underworld. He was the god of the infernal powers and the dead. He was an icy, ruthless and a stern god, but not evil or vicious. He supervised the trials and punishments for the condemned in the Underworld but did not personally torture the prisoners. Cerberus was a three-headed dog guardian was his assistant. In contrast to the other Olympian gods, Hades rarely left his home and was only summoned to Earth to take oaths or curses.

In Archaic and Classical Greek art, Hades is usually represented as a mature male wearing a beard and a rod or scepter. He is usually sitting on a throne composed of ebony or riding in a black horse-drawn chariot. He is armed with a scepter, or a two-pronged sword or a vase of libations and usually a Cornucopia. It is symbolic of the vegetable and mineral wealth found in the earth.

He is the husband of Persephone and father to Hebe and Zeus. He is also the brother of Hestia, Hera, and Poseidon. His sacred animals are the peacock, heifer, and cuckoo. He is the King of the Underworld and the ruler of the seas and sky.

Ancient Greeks viewed the Underworld as a complex place that was more than a place for tormenting the unjust. They stayed clear of generalizations and focused instead on how the Underworld could be utilized by humans. This is different from our modern concept of hell which is a fiery lake filled with fire and brimstone. In the Underworld, it is the souls of the dead that must be cleansed and reintegrated back into the world of earth and not the gods who are too busy fighting with each for their own souls.

Plutus

Hades (/ heIdi Z /; Ancient Greek: He is the Cronus's son and is the brother of Zeus and Poseidon. He is the son and brother of Zeus, Poseidon and Cronus. In Greek mythology he is the god of wealth and is often depicted as a symbol of abundance and prosperity. Early depictions of him were associated with granaries, and other symbols of agricultural prosperity. Later images began to depict the god as a personification for luxury and opulence.

The most significant story about Hades is the tale of his abduction of Persephone who is the daughter of Demeter. The story is one of the most famous and significant in Greek mythology. It revolves around love and desire. Hades wanted to get married and pleaded with his father for permission to marry Persephone. He was told that she would not approve of the proposal and he was forcefully abducted. Demeter was so furious, she caused a drought to the Earth until her daughter returned.

The Erinyes, chthonic creatures, are powerful beings in their own rights. They embody divine revenge. They are unforgiving and firm in their judgements. They are the moral compass of the entire universe. They ensure that family betrayals and crimes against humanity won't go unpunished.

The Erinyes also serve as guardians of the dead, guiding souls into Hades and punishing them for their actions in this realm of torment and challenge. Charon, the ferryman of ancient Greek mythology, was the one who carried souls across the Styx river in exchange for a small amount of coins (the low-valued obol). If they couldn't pay for their journey would end up on shores of Hades the domain of Hades, where Hermes would bring their loved relatives with them.

It is important to remember that Hades wasn't the God of the Underworld through chance. He is just as much a master in this spiritual realm as the heavens. He was so at ease in his spiritual realm that he hardly ever left it, not even to attend meetings at Mount Olympus, or to visit mortals.

His control over the Underworld gave him great influence and power over Earth. He claimed to own all gems and metals found underground, and he was very confident of his rights as a deity. He could manipulate and extract the mystical energy which could be used to shield himself and his children from danger or to fulfill his responsibilities. He also absorbed life force of those who touch him from skin to skin or with a hand. He can also observe other people with his owl eyes.

The Furies

Hades is the god of the underworld and death. He also oversees the Olympians’ souls and astral self. The Greeks believed that when an Olympian died, their physical body would cease to function but their spirits were still part of their physical form until Hades removed them from their bodies and sent them to his realm.

Hades was highly revered by the Ancients as a kind god who was wise and compassionate. His innate wisdom enabled him to create the Underworld to be a place for worthy souls to pass on to their next life while those who were not worthy souls were punished or questioned. In sculptures and art Hades was not often depicted as a ferocious god or as a villain. Instead He was a solemn god who ruled the dead with a sense justice and fairness.

He was also hard to get. This is an excellent quality for a guardian of the dead, since grieving family members often begged him to bring their beloved relatives back to the world of. He had an iron heart and was known to cry "iron tears" when he felt compassion for other people.

Like Zeus, he was jealous of Ares, the God of War and frequently interfered in his father's affairs. He also had a sense of rage and jealousy, particularly over the fact that Persephone was forced to leave him for a portion of each year.

Hades in his role as Lord of the Underworld is a solitary god who rarely leaves underworld. He is often depicted as a young man, usually with a beard, wearing a cape and displaying his attributes which include a sceptre, a two-pronged spear, a chalice, vessel for libation, or cornucopia that symbolizes vegetable and mineral wealth from the earth. He is also depicted sitting on an ebony-colored the throne.
