Other symptoms include regurgitation of food or sour liquid, difficulty swallowing, chronic cough, laryngitis, as well as the feeling of a lump within the throat. In severe cases, it may result in inflammation of the esophagus (esophagitis), which could cause bleeding or ulcers.
