Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit, has designed a unique keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of Bentley. Made of Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying "B" paperweight, a set of keys and a brochure featuring never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company that takes its aesthetics seriously. The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. Its rear tonneau, for example, showcased the biggest piece of book-matched, dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to a production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. The company is constantly pushing the boundaries with the latest technology and hand-crafted products. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof and a handcrafted Apple iPad docking station.

A century after its inception, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership following years of wrangling with BMW was able to celebrate its centennial in the year 2019. Prior to pandemic planning taking the center stage, the company was hosting a variety of special events and launches planned to commemorate this milestone event.

Design

Bentley is famous for its extravagant and luxurious automobiles and keys, but even the keys are designed to stand out. The Bentayga key is crafted from sterling silver. It has an oversized 'B' logo that lets everyone know you're a Bentley. The key is also embossed with the dates 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centennial.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and redesigned the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. The rear seats were designed to give passengers unmatched comfort and privacy. Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and the second that is used to start the vehicle. The key also has a switch for turning on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parked in tight areas. This feature makes it easier to get into and out of your vehicle.

The key is made from vegetable tanned leather. It takes over two days to make each one. It is cut by hand and shaped, then sewn, sealed and polished to provide an excellent finish. It is durable, compact, and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more luxurious feel.

Secure-A-Key is also available to help stop keyless entry theft. This device is put into the remote-control fob and is disabled when the key isn't utilized for a period of a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that will allow the key to be opened and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as cutting-edge technology. Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own car. The "mood station" allows customers to choose images that inspire them. Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to build and put together the Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to embrace the latest technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly-matched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, not using sensors built into the vehicle to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spaces.

Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization abilities with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. The limited edition cars are available in 100. an exclusive key that shows a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
