The G30 Edge is unique in its ability to map your home using an electronic map. This allows it to keep track of the rooms it's cleaned and avoid going back to these rooms. This is a major frustration for more basic robots who require the use old-fashioned magnetic taps to define no-go zones.

The G30 Edge has other conveniences, including a "Find My Robot" mode that plays a loud tune until it is found, and an directional pad that allows users to manually move the robot. It also has a built-in auto return function that will send it back to its charging base when the battery is empty which is a crucial security feature.

2. Neato Botvac D-Shape

The Neato Botvac D-Shape is a remarkably capable robot with a number of intelligent features. It can clean floors efficiently and climb up high-pile carpets with ease. The i3+ EVO has less obstacle avoidance than some of the other robots we evaluated. It repeatedly hit objects such as handbags, pet toys, and even shoes before continuing its route. It also had issues dealing with coarse kosher salt that it blew over and around rather than picking up.

The i3+ EVO has a lot of features that make it worth the additional cost over other Roomba models, including self-emptying bins and advanced control through the app. It is possible to schedule cleanings, create custom routines, and even create zones that do not want the robot to enter. Its smart scheduling will even suggest additional cleaning during allergy season and based on the routine you follow.
