For many veterans suffering from disabilities as a result of their military service, a veterans disability lawsuit might be the solution. The Department of Veterans Affairs offers benefits to veterans, such as medical care and programs for veterans.

TBIs can differ in severity from a concussion up to a being in a coma. Patients with TBIs are at a higher risk of developing depression and PTSD as well as other mental health issues. Research suggests that having multiple moderate to severe TBIs may increase the risk of developing dementia and movement issues in later life.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) occurs after someone has suffered a trauma. It can be apparent immediately following the incident or a few years later. Memory problems, trouble in sleeping and concentrating, feelings of anger or irritability, and being easily scared are a few of the signs. Certain people may experience depression or suicidal thoughts. PTSD can cause problems at work, with relationships, and at home. It can also lead to dependence, which includes alcohol or drugs.

The symptoms can be treated using psychotherapy, including eye movements desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) or cognitive processing therapy.
