Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad Al-Khalaf is an experienced consultant general psychiatrist who is based in Guildford, Surrey. He also has a presence in Hampshire and London. He specializes in the treatment of enduring mental illness and older adult psychiatry. He has a particular interest in organic mental health depression, anxiety and apathy (particularly treatment-resistant depression) and memory impairment such as dementia. He is also interested in mental capacity assessments.
He was ordained as medical doctor in 1971. He then underwent general medicine education before undergoing specialist psychiatry training at St Charles, St George and the Maudsley hospitals in London. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and has worked as Private psychiatrist adhd psychiatrist in the region since the year 2005.
He is employed at the Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital and the Priory Hospital in Woking. He holds a non-remunerated post and does not own any shares or financial interests in equipment used at this hospital or another Nuffield Health hospital.
Dr. Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw completed her MD at the University of British Columbia (UBC) before she completed her residency in psychiatry with the University of Toronto. During her residency she was actively involved in medical education. She's presented at international conferences and published on the subject of delirium screening as well as professionalism and social media. She spent the beginning of her career as the head of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychology at Surrey Memorial Hospital where she concentrated on establishing a flourishing and highly collaborative CL service which provides psychiatric care for patients on the medical and surgical wards including the palliative care and oncology units. She was also awarded a Facilities Engagement grant to create guidelines on how to manage vulnerable patients at the hospital.
She is also the Provincial Practice leader for Psychiatry in BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member in the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has an interest for a long time in musculoskeletal research and educational. She teaches Neuromuscular Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine to the Family Medicine Residents. She is also involved in ongoing research projects in the musculoskeletal education, electrodiagnostic medical and performing arts-medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Singh completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales before completing her Psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. While in training, she received the Psychotherapy Award and an Undergraduate Teaching Award to recognize her accomplishments in these areas. She has worked in various areas of Psychiatry and is particularly interested in Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry, Cardiac Psychiatry and General Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
Dr. Nadeesha is a psychiatrist who works with adults with BC Cancer. She has a deep interest in Psycho-oncology, and especially enjoys working with older patients. She has a longstanding interest in geriatric psychiatry and has been a consultant for the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service (GPCLS) and ECT Service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is an educator and mentor for medical students and residents.
Dr Theresa Lo
Dr. Theresa Lo completed medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She has worked at the BC Cancer Agency, Surrey Mental Health and the UBC Sleep Disorders Centre. She has a clinical practice that includes psychodynamic therapy and dialectical psychology. She is proficient in Cantonese.
Dr. Karim is a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists and was trained at Guy's King's St Thomas', St George's and St George's Hospitals in London. She is a member of the Specialist Register for the General Medical Council, and has been practicing psychiatry for more than 20 years. She is interested in psychotherapy for children and adolescents.
Dr. Richford started her career as a nurse, and later pursued a degree in medicine, obtaining her MD from Dalhousie. She has worked in many Psychiatry areas, including Addiction Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Psycho-oncology, and many more. She is a psychiatrist on staff for Providence Health Care, Vancouver General Hospital BC Cancer-Vancouver and an Associate Professor at UBC. She was the former president of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association.
Dr Margaret Wong
Dr Margaret Wong, a renowned medical expert, is dedicated to improving healthcare services. She is also a member of the Association of Physicians and Surgeons of Ohio. She is an adjudicator on the Eighth Judicial District Court as well as the Federal Sixth Circuit Court.
