iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

This vacuum isn't afraid to tackle the stairs, unlike some other models. Like any mop or vacuum it is susceptible to clogging due to particles, like tennis shoes, play jewelry, thread, or other loose items.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is a robot vacuum and mop that combine the smart mapping capabilities of iRobot along with the ability to handle spills. It is equipped with the same acoustic sensors onboard and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that are used in other Roomba options and maps your home 7 times faster than previous models. It also lets you set Keep Out Zones and Clean Zones to tell the robot which rooms it should avoid and when to clean them.

The robotic arm is the main feature of the J7. It keeps the mop pad hidden when it is not in use and lowers it for carpeting or hard flooring. In my tests, the Combo J7+ did a great job at avoiding spraying water onto the rug. The robot was not able to walk across the rug, even after I moved it around many times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank which can be easily removed and filled, making it more manageable than the mop pads of many other 2-in-1 robots. It uses iRobot PrevisionVision obstacle-avoidance technology which is more advanced than other systems of this kind.

iRobot Combo i5

It is designed to do mopping and vacuuming in one machine it is a great option for those who are multitaskers. Its vacuuming is done by a specialised bin that can hold up 60 days worth of debris and iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust re-released into the air during the process. The i5+ is equipped with dual multi-surface rubber brushes and Power-Lifting suction to take care of dirt and dust as well as pet hair and stains. When you're ready to mop, just swap in the mopping robot vacuum cleaner Bin and a compatible cleaning solution.

The i5+ uses iRobot OS which means that it gets smarter as you use it. It can learn your floorplan by creating an Smart Map that remembers room names as well as your specific cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule, or tell the robot to clean a certain room.

It also reaches under furniture and into tight spaces to provide an even more thorough cleaning. The Combo j5+ is also compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt disposal.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It has the same fantastic dirt compartment on the outside and an HEPA filter to keep allergens out however, it now supports best smart robot vacuum and mop mapping. This means you can create no-go zones to stop it from sweeping those areas again. The i3 Plus still has a variety of other fantastic features like its advanced cleaning system, 10x power-lifting suction, and a three-stage cleaning process. It also has a textured surface that helps keep away fingerprints, dust and hairs of pets.

It performs well on bare floors and cleans most of the debris however it had trouble with pet hair on low-pile carpets. It is quieter and does a great job on high pile carpets. The i3 is a bit more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max, but it has a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads, and then refills the reservoir of water.

With the i3 app, you can create schedules to clean at a time that is suitable for your requirements. You can also control your robot using your voice assistant to start or stop cleaning. It also monitors your home's unique floor layout to offer personalized scheduling and cleaning habits. It makes use of the most advanced sensors for mapping to help you navigate carpet and hardwood and learns about your habits to optimize performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 robot vacuum and mop is the latest product from iRobot. It integrates iRobot's advanced floor cleaning technologies to make it a perfect option for homes with hard floors and a few rugs or carpets. The Combo i2 uses a combo system that can switch between vacuuming and mopping at the flick of a switch. It also features iRobot's advanced navigation technology. Its PrevisionVision navigation system is superior than the average and will steer clear of obstacles, like power cords and stairs.

Its Smart Map remembers your rooms and your cleaning preferences. It can even detect whether it's in a space that requires extra attention, like the living or kitchen. It also features the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system that removes dirt in a controlled manner up to 60 days.

Another outstanding characteristic of the Combo i2 is its dual multi-surface brushes. They are more effective than conventional mops, and remove dirt from corners and edges. The robot's acoustic sensor allows this. The Combo i2 is also equipped with powerful suction and an intelligent design. It can be controlled by the iRobot App, voice assistants and a programmable calendar.

iRobot Combo i1

The Combo i1 is one of the only robot vacuums that also mop. If the unit senses that a surface needs to be cleaned, it lifts and then swings it under using an arm that is equipped with an edging pad for cleaning. The back of the unit has a dust bin and a water tank that can be removed to add cleaning solution. The robot uses a Bona cleaning product, but it can also be utilized with other brands.

The Combo i1 is unlike most computerized Robot Vacuum vacuums as it can reposition the mophead towards the top of its robot when it detects carpet. It can vacuum the carpet and then wipe it clean using its microfiber cloths. This will ensure that all surfaces are spotless. It has a complete set of sensors and navigation skills which help it avoid obstacles like cords and furniture.

It also comes with a larger battery that will keep it running for longer and an automatic self-emptying mode that will reduce the frequency of emptying its trash bin. It's a great option for families who need the convenience of a single robot, but with the flexibility offered by the different cleaning modes. It can be controlled via an audio command using Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled devices. It can also be scheduled to stop and start at the time you leave and come back.

iRobot Combo i4

This iRobot robotic vacuum and mop is ideal for those who want to keep their home spotless without lifting a single finger. It comes with an docking station that has low profile and takes up little space. It also comes with a dirt compartment that can be cleaned at the touch of the button. However, you won't be able to view the inside of the compartment since it's made of opaque plastic. The i4 is also missing some features such as the AI-powered obstacle avoidance and keep-out zones found on the j7 and j7+.

It does, however, come with a strong vacuum system and brushes made of rubber that don't get tangled by pet hair. It's also a good choice for carpets with a high pile because it is able to handle the extra dirt and debris better than weaker vacuums. The i4 requires less maintenance and has lower costs for recurring maintenance, and runs longer in the lowest suction mode.
