This robot is perfect for homes with hard flooring and can be used to clean carpets tiles, tiles or tiles with mixed surfaces.

Like all Roomba models like all Roomba models, the Combo J7+ is a pro at absorbing dirt and debris. Its intelligent navigation is enhanced by iRobot OS technology and PrecisionVision, which allows the bot to recognize common objects that are in its path, such as pet waste or cords, and stay clear of them completely. The iRobot Combo j7+ can even evade furniture, including tall chairs with backs that might trap the robot underneath them.

This is superior to the majority of robot vacuums' cameras, as they may get stuck on items like rug tassels. It's worth noting, however, that the iRobot Combo ju7+'s front camera is prone to blind spots, and can miss certain objects.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ may be expensive but its performance is high enough to justify the price. It has a very high customer rating, and customers like its smart features. However, it's worth looking at alternatives, such as the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. It's less expensive than iRobot Combo h7+, and it can heed voice commands with no need for third-party integration. The mops are great at their job of cleaning tiles, wood, and rugs, and picking up dust, dirt, and pet hair. They also have effective obstacle avoidance, which doesn't push small and lightweight objects, like socks or toys, around the floor. It's among the best mopping robots we've tested. It has a magnet strip that can be used to block off areas where the robot isn't able to reach, like rooms with a lot of cables.

However, the robot falls short on other standard features of its kind. The mops are great however, their maximum time of use of 60 minutes is less than we would like to have in a product with such a cost. Also, it doesn't vacuum after a mopping session or automatically empty into its charging station.

It's still a great option for those with big homes, as the cleaning and mapping processes are quick and efficient. The app is simple to use, and you can create schedules. If you don't have a reliable WI-FI connection, you'll be able to still control it with the remote or through voice integrations using Alexa.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision might be expensive but its smart features make up for it. The live monitoring feature for homes is amazing and it looks amazing. It's a great choice for those with young children, pets, or anyone who needs to keep an eye on their home when they're away. Many people who own a robot mop and vacuum claim to be amazed by how their floors improve after starting to use them frequently.

Roborock S7 Max Ultra

The S7 Max Ultra, Roborock's new robot vacuum cleaner self emptying vacuum and mop combo self-empty ($1299 on Amazon) is a fantastic upgrade from the S6 and S7 models. It comes with a variety of great features, including aggressive mopping, a higher suction power (up to 5,100Pa as opposed to the earlier models with 2,400Pa) and more. It also has precise lidar navigation that functions like radar in 3D which means it can see things such as baseboards, chairs and furniture legs, and efficiently navigate around them. It can create customized cleaning routines that you start by pressing for example, an "After Meal mode" that systematically cleans and vacuums the kitchen floors.

This two-in-one has a unique feature that is not found in most other robots. VibraRise raises the mopping pad when it detects carpeting, to prevent getting the area rugs wet. It also makes mopping more efficient. It also comes with a deep-cleaning mode that mops and vacuums carpets in one pass, removing more dust and dirt than spinning mops can. The app can be used to schedule weekly cleanings or to clean on demand.

While the S7 Max Ultra does a great job at its intended tasks however, it's not without its flaws. The price is the biggest. It's the most expensive robot vacuum and mop combination I've ever reviewed. The other issues are less specific to this model but are more indicative of the robotic vacuum market as a whole It's not able to deal with heavy spills or large, sticky messes very well.

The S7 Max Ultra is easy to setup: just connect it and sync it to your phone via Wi-Fi, and begin a cleaning session. Once you've done that you can modify the settings within the app. For instance, you can set up cleaning zones that are not allowed or schedule them.

Its impressive ability to avoid obstacles is a further plus. During testing it only slid into tight spaces twice, which is superior to the S6 MaxV's three attempts or the X1 Omni’s four tries. The app lets you mark an object as a temporary obstacle and the S7 Max Ultra ignores it during subsequent cleaning.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that integrates mops and vacuuming in its design. It's also one of the less expensive combo bots in our review. The Freo is an excellent option for anyone in need of a combination cleaner. Its impressive cleaning performance, as well as its wide range of options for customization, makes it a fantastic choice. The absence of the latest obstacle-avoidance technology, as well as a sleek mobile app has dampened our enthusiasm for this model.
