Eufy, owned by Anker It has become an established brand in the world of robots that are budget-friendly vacuums. But it didn't offer a model that could also mop. That's changed with the X8 Hybrid, which has an impressive suite of advanced features and is able to compete with more expensive models.

The laser navigation system is the most important feature of this machine. The X8 makes use of the laser mapping system, which is more accurate than the previous Eufy devices. Like iRobot's latest models, the RX2 comes with dual-sensor mapping that uses a LIDAR sensor to map the space and two 3D scanning cameras to detect and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real-time. Once mapped the app allows you to assign virtual no-go areas and favorite sections that the robot will automatically clean. The sensors of the RX2 work well in registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. The suction and sweeping power are top-of-the-line and cleans up surface debris from carpets with medium piles and dust in bare floors. It's not the fastest robot available. This combination of sensors along with a bump detector and an infrared sensor that keeps the vacuum away from steps makes it one our most agile vacuums.

It was able to walk over thick shag carpets and was not stuck (unlike the RoboVac 11s or Roomba 690-). It was able to pick up 98.5 percent of the surface pet hair and litter from our laboratory test samples.

Its controls are a bit more basic than those of competitors. There's a round cleaning button on the top. You can launch it via the app, or by voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant. 5. Eufy 11S

If you're looking for a basic low-cost robot vacuum at a reasonable cost, the Eufy11S might be your best bet. It doesn't have many of the smart features, like digital mapping and Alexa integration, which are found in more expensive models, but if you don't need these functions, you can save money with this model.

It also comes with more advanced automation features than its competitors, such as the ability to create virtual boundary markers using its mobile app. While its app isn't the most responsive and the 980 may spin a bit when rolling over cables, it's an extremely efficient robot vacuum.

One thing we love about the 980 is the fact that it utilizes its iAdapt 2.0 navigation sensors and its visual simultaneous mapping and localisation technology (or vSLAM) to memorise the floor plan of your home. It then uses the information to create an efficient and consistent cleaning path for every cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient robot vacuum than most high-end robots.
