There are a variety of options for multi-fuel stoves with 7kw according to the size of the room and the amount of heat required. Certain models can be combined with a boiler for complete home heating solutions. This can reduce the cost of energy.
This model is DEFRA certified and can be used to burn smokeless and wood fuels in smoke control zones. It comes with a five year warranty and a large view window.
1. Portway Rochester
The Rochester Multi Fuel Stove is a modern classic made with high-quality castings. Its door features a stunning curve design. The Rochester can be purchased with a choice of polished silver or plain black finish for the trim that is cast-in. This A-rated Rochester stove is suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas, as suggested by DEFRA and can operate with a maximum heat output of 7kW. This stove is able to be fitted with Output Reducing bricks to reduce the maximum output of heat to 5kW, which is ideal for larger rooms.
This Rochester Multi-Fuel Stove has all modern features that aid in controlling the combustion process and improve control. With the primary and secondary air controls on the front of the stove, it is easy to adjust the burn rate of the flame to suit the room and fuel conditions. The large viewing window displays vibrant flames on the wood or other materials that are smokeless and an active Airwash system ensures that it is free of any deposits. The Rochester can take log lengths up to 250mm (10'') and boasts an externally controlled riddling system, which is ideal for burning wood or smokeless fuels.
The Rochester is SIA Eco Design 2022-ready and is compatible with a range of woods and smokeless fuels including anthracite. Eco-design stoves emit significantly lower emissions than older appliances or open fires. They are also 3 times more efficient and cost less to run than open fires. The Rochester comes with a 5 year warranty.
2. Ash
The Ecosy+ range has been designed with a Clean Burn technology which ensures you get the maximum energy and long-lasting use from your fuel. This feature allows you to re-burn the initial gasses and smoke that produce from your logs in a secondary combustion and also sprays air over your fire and glass to keep it clean (Air Wash system). The result is that you will not need to fill your stove up as often, making it one of the most cost-effective multifuel stoves on the market.
The Ash is also a great choice because it has a large ashpan that is removable to make maintenance easy. It also comes with an ash grate with multiple fuels that allows you to burn wood or smokeless coal simultaneously and a tertiary inlet to further improve combustion efficiency. It is a DEFRA-approved, Ecodesign-compliant stove, with clearSkies level five credentials. This means that it emits 90% less carbon dioxide than a traditional open-fire and more than 80% less than a stove not exempt from DEFRA.
Its modern design with clean straight lines makes it suitable for any type of fireplace or home. It can be fitted into a recessed fireplace or an existing chimney opening. Its sleek lines make it a perfect option for a modern-looking wall or room in which you want the stove to blend with the architecture of your room.
Calculate the power output of your room by measuring its size in cubic meters and then dividing it by 14 for rooms with good insulation 12 for rooms that are standard-insulated or 10 for rooms with poor insulation. Add another 20% for your central heating and an additional 25% for hot water usage.
