The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do to locate your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot mop vacuum also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an advanced filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and moves along.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, [Redirect-302] for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot mop and vacuum combo we've tested, because of its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category which could make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hardwood floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
