Medical malpractice claims must meet a strict set of legal requirements. This includes meeting the statute of limitations as well as proving that the injury was caused by the negligence.

The plaintiff's legal team must also prove that the breach caused an injury to the patient. This could be financial damage, like the need for additional medical treatment or a loss in earnings due to working absences. It's possible that the doctor made a mistake that caused psychological and emotional damage.
Breach
