Veterans Disability Lawsuit - How to File a Veterans Disability Lawsuit

A veterans disability lawsuit could be a solution for a lot of veterans suffering from disabilities resulting from their military service. The Department of Veterans Affairs provides benefits to those who been in the military, including medical care and specialty programs.

However, obtaining these benefits isn't easy for Black veterans, according to the latest lawsuit filed on Monday. The suit was filed on behalf of Conley Monk Jr. by Yale Law School's Veterans Legal Services Clinic.

PTSD

PTSD symptoms can manifest when people are traumatized. It can manifest as flashbacks, nightmares, or anxiety that are disturbing. This disorder can make the sufferer to avoid places or situations that are reminiscent of their painful experience. This can cause depression and isolation. A new lawsuit filed jointly by Black veterans and Yale law clinics has revealed that the Department of Veterans Affairs denied disability compensation claims made by Black veterans repeatedly over the course of decades. The lawsuit seeks damages for compensation for Monk and other Black veterans disability lawyers who were unfairly denied access to benefits. It also aims to force the VA to reconsider hundreds of other claims that were dismissed in error. The lawsuit was filed this week in federal court.

Traumatic Brain Injury
