Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are an excellent opportunity to earn equipment weapons, equipment and more. But they're also difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a unique slot that lets you bring guns into a mission. Some players utilize this slot to achieve certain goals and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Some players make use of the extra pistol to fill in the gap. When using this slot, you need to keep in mind that you'll need to click the appropriate pistol category button, such as the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, Rainbet to select the category of your choice. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much easier to do. This combo will add a damage tick every 10 seconds from Concealed Weapon for as long as it is slotted.

The smuggled item slot is a great feature that allows players to bring weapons and other tools into the game, but it can be improved. It's currently shaped like an a gun, which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled weapon slot from other gear slots.

The smuggle slot is able to hold an array of items, ranging from small concussion devices to weapons-grade explosives. These items can be found in hidden locations throughout the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which conceal small items in the scenery or objects.

Mission planning is a feature available in episodic missions that allows players to unlock different starting locations equipment, smuggled items, and slots ahead of their entry into the map. These options for planning expand as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players the ability to create the perfect mission for every difficulty.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will notice their gear slots quickly get full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from acquiring new equipment until the old ones are removed or space is found. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenging missions. However, since many of these challenges are scattered around the world and could be overlooked, it may take a long time to acquire the largest amount of inventory slots available in-game.

The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to 5 different types of gear. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades that are of the same type) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations let you keep items that aren't suitable in your weapon or gear slot and get them back later.

These pickups are useful in situations where your job requires you to go through a frisk or if you have a weapon with you that might otherwise raise suspicion. You can only conceal one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also includes new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and purchase snacks and armor. Then, head to the mission marker and spot a group when you arrive.
