The camera in the front of the iRobot Combo is also useful. It can identify hazards like power cables and pet waste, and steer clear of them to ensure a thorough cleaning. This is superior to most robot vacuums' cameras, which could get stuck on things like rug tassels. The iRobot Combo ju7+ front camera has blind spots that could cause it to miss certain objects.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ may be expensive but its performance is high enough to justify the cost. It has a good customer rating, and customers like its smart features. The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision isn't cheap however its numerous smart features make the difference. The live monitoring of your home is fantastic and it looks cool as well. While the S7 Max Ultra does a great job at its intended tasks however, it's not without its flaws. The most significant is the high price tag. It's also the most expensive robotic mop and vacuum combination I've ever reviewed. Other issues aren't specific to this model and more indicative of the robotic vacuums in general: it doesn't handle heavy spills or sticky messes very well.

The S7 Max Ultra is easy to set up: just connect it to the internet and sync it to your phone via Wi-Fi and begin a cleaning session. Once you've done that you can modify the settings in the app. For example you can set up no-go zones or schedule cleanings.

Its impressive ability to avoid obstacles is another big plus. In the course of testing, it only slid into tight spaces twice, which is much better than the S6 MaxV’s three attempts or the X1 Omni’s four tries. The app allows you to mark an object as temporary obstruction and the S7 Max Ultra ignores it during subsequent cleaning.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that integrates vacuuming and mops in its design. It's one of the most affordable robots we've reviewed. The Freo's impressive cleaning efficiency and a wide range of options for customization makes it an excellent choice for any home that needs a combination cleaner. However, its lack of advanced obstacle avoidance features and a polished app tempered our enthusiasm for this model.

The first thing you have to do is scan your space. This will help the Freo map the area that it will scrub. It takes about a minute to complete this process. Once the Freo has a better understanding of where everything is located, it will be capable of navigating more efficiently in subsequent cleanings.

Another cool feature is the Freo's ability to register the room as dry vacuuming or mopping so it is more efficient when switching between the two. It's also smart enough to know when its mop pads become dirty and will automatically return to the dock to refill, then head back out to wet clean hard surfaces.

The Freo's ability to vacuum and mop carpets is an important strength. Its twin mops pads are automatically raised when the Freo comes into contact with carpet which allows it to utilize less power and energy while still getting rid of debris. It is also able to remove oatmeal and sand without needing to do multiple passes using the vac/mop.

The Freo's unique tilted side brush are based on street sweeper trucks and do a an excellent job of drawing in and sweeping away dirt particles. The rounded body and high-end finish give the Freo an attractive appearance. You can interact with the robot by using an LCD touchscreen at its base station, however we preferred to control it using the app on your smartphone.

The app has many options to alter the Freo's behavior. These include schedules for rooms with a lot of traffic, spot cleanings, as well as an option to activate a parental lock. You can also set the length of time that the Freo spends drying its mop pads as well as choose the frequency at which it cleans its dust bin. You can even set a maximum size for the trash bin.
