This model that is dry and wet comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by the 270-degree angle. This results in more precise mapping as well as faster response time and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping pad made of chenille fabric, which makes it easier to scrub hard spots as opposed to traditional mops. During my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. This robot vacuum and mops has large docking systems that allows for automatic cleaning using cool mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be washed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

Deebot T10 has a wash tray that is built into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to rinse and dry its mop pads while using them. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing even if the claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape with sweeping wheels and a raised space for sensors. On the other side there's a motorized floorbrush as well as a single side brush that pushes dust from the edges into the main path of its'mouth.' It's a bit smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system lets you create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of hitting objects like its charging station, and isn't great at navigating over carpets. It was good at collecting pet hair off the floor. In our tests, it picked up 89.5% kitty litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has a set of physical buttons at its base. These buttons allow you to select the cleaning mode, or turn the robot off/on. These buttons can be used to create no-go areas and view real-time maps. It's also a little chatty and will tell what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or warn you when something isn't right.

The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to tackle difficult dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the most affordable we've ever tested and offers an outstanding value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This makes it less efficient as other models on this list. However, it's still able to get under furniture and into corners and its mopping mode worked very well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as robust as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with a low pile and makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It also allows you to send it to a specific room, and its advanced set of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It also lets you to pause and resume a cleaning session which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. It comes with of angled side brushes that can reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, dander and allergens.

The robot vacuum feels sturdy and well-built, and it comes with an app for vacuum mop pet hair smartphones that enables you to change its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning times in advance.
