The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move away if it comes across one.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's items that need to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium affordable robot vacuum mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're away from home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the best mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice, but they also make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This helps the cheap robot vacuum vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, Best Robot Vacuum and Mop carpet, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
