First, you'll need to prepare the keys for your new car. Before you start, ensure that the anti-theft system has been disabled by placing blocks on the rear wheels and activating the handbrake. Insert the key into the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position. This will activate the accessories but not start the engine. Repeat this process 5 times, and then keep the key on the "on" position.

You'll then have to buy an additional case for your key fob. You can get these at any auto parts store and they're generally quite affordable. Depending on the model, you could even purchase them without electronic components.

To open the case you need to gently push the screwdriver with a flathead into the slot in the middle. The case will break easily and, once you've done that, you'll have access to the internal electronics.
